Students Tailgating for U2?

OU officials will have the same tailgating policies as football games for the U2 concert this Sunday. This will cause many streets to shut down, including Lindsey Street which regularly shuts down hours before the kickoff of football games.

The stadium is expected to be filled with 50,000 to 60,000 people. Even though the gameday crowd averages more than that, streets will have to be shut down.

"There are about 70 semi-trailer trucks that will bring this concert into Norman," Kenny Mossman, OU's senior associate athletics director said. "So, in order to give them the access they need and the ability to offload, we needed to shut down the stadium and alter the traffic flow in front of the stadium a little bit."

After the concert, the stage will be torn down, and crews will install a new football field.
